Jesus Loves You!

Before we talk about meat, lets talk about eternity. First things first. What’s most important… Are You Saved? You can be!

The Gospel (Good News) applies to you and every single person on earth. But in order to understand the Good news, we first have to understand the bad news… #1 The word of God says that we are ALL sinners; Romans 3:23 “for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” #2 And sin separates us from God; Isaiah 59:2 “Your wrongdoings have separated you from your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear.” #3 There is a consequence for sin. Romans 6:23 “ For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord.” We cannot get to God or to Heaven on our own, no matter how hard we try. There’s nothing we could do to earn our way into heaven, no matter how good we think we are or how many good works we do, 1 single sin will keep us out of Heaven and direct us to hell; #4 WE NEED A SAVIOR; #5 Okay that’s the bad news…but here’s the GOOD NEWS: Romans 5:8 “But God showed His great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Jesus Christ, The Son of God, died on our behalf on the cross for the forgiveness of our sins to redeem us, to make us right with God, to bridge the gap between us and God. Jesus then rose from the dead 3 days later to give us eternal life and prove that he was in fact The Son of God and to defeat death so that whoever puts their faith in Jesus will also defeat death. So whats our response? Romans 10:9-10 “if you declare with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.” Jesus said in John 11:25 “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, even after they die, they will live and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” John 3:16 “for God so loved the world that he gave his Only Son (Jesus), that whoever believes in Him (Jesus) shall not perish but have everlasting life”; #6 Heaven isn’t for good people, it’s for forgiven people. The only way to be forgiven is put your Full trust in Jesus, to repent of your sins and unbelief and recognize that Jesus is indeed Lord and Christ of your life. Believe and put your full trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. in Acts 2:36 Peter calls the people to change their minds, to abhor their past rejection of Christ Jesus, and to embrace faith in Him as their Messiah and Savior.

Salvation is a free gift from God through the blood of Jesus Christ, His blood was shed for the forgiveness of our sins. And like any gift, we must either receive or reject the gift. We cannot earn the gift and we cannot pay for the gift, it is freely given, but we must receive it. every person has the choice to either accept or reject the gift. You must make this decision before you die, there’s no more chances after you breathe your last. how do we receive it? by faith with repentance. You don’t need to first clean up your life before you come to Jesus, Come to Jesus now and He will clean up your life! Repentance is turning from what displeases God. Repentance is faith in action. its evidence of your faith, proof of your faith in Jesus. Repentance and believing go hand in hand, if there is no repentance, there is no salvation, you must repent & submit to Jesus’ Lordship over your life. Jesus said in Luke 13:3-5 “unless you repent you will all likewise perish.” If we all want to spend eternity in heaven with God instead of in hell which will be in the lake of fire with the devil and all unbelievers, then we must repent and receive the Lord Jesus as our Lord and Savior. oh and by the way, hell is no party, the bible describes hell as people who will be fully and forever separated from God and they will be tormented day and night, there will be wailing and complete misery for all eternity and there is no more second chances. Revelation 20:15 “And if anyone’s name was not found written in the Book of Life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.” Whoever is in hell (which there are people there right now) are fully conscious and aware and will feel everything forever, pain and emotions, it will never end. Jesus spoke more about hell than about heaven. Hell was originally intended for the devil and demons, but it is for unforgiven people too (because they reject Jesus) and when they die without accepting Jesus, they die in their sins, unforgiven. like I said before, heaven is not for good people; it is for forgiven people who have been made right with God by the blood of Jesus, people who have understood that they are a sinner in need of Jesus as their Savior, they repented of their sins and accepted the Lord Jesus as Savior.

God doesn’t send people to hell; people choose to go to hell instead of receiving Jesus and the free gift of forgiveness and heaven. Jesus talks about how many people will go there, because they chose to. Mathew 7:13-14 “ Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction (hell), and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life (heaven, Jesus) and there are few who find it.” Some people don’t want to repent, (unbelieving). They want to continue to hold onto this world and the things of this world and the lusts of this world and the evil culture we live in. Jesus said in John 3:19-21 “ This is the verdict: Light (Jesus) has come into the world, but people loved the darkness instead of the light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who does evil hates the light and will not come into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed. But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that it may be seen plainly that what they have done has been done in God.”

So, you don’t think you're a sinner huh? Do think you can get to heaven on your own? let’s take a test, shall we? remember it only takes 1 sin to fail and keep you out of heaven. here we go! have you ever had a lustful thought? ever been with someone who was married? have you ever been a hypocrite? ever been judgmental? merciless? unforgiving? ever said a single curse word? ever gossiped? slandered and talked bad about someone? perhaps a co-worker or friend? told 1 single lie? even a little fib? have you taken the Lord’s name is vain by saying OMG? or Holy-s? Ever committed adultery? no? you sure? have you been in a marriage or relationship and looked at another person with lust in your eyes? have you ever watched porn? then you have, Jesus said if you even look at another with lust in your eyes you have committed adultery in your heart. Ever stolen anything? cheated somebody out of something? ever been greedy? ever been prideful? ever envied what someone else has? have you told sexual, or cruel jokes? engaged in homosexuality? ever fornicated? ( having sex outside of marriage?) ever lived with a boyfriend or girlfriend outside of marriage? ever hated someone? Jesus said that is the same as murder. ever gotten drunk? high? Do you have self-control over your body and what goes into your body or what you do to or with your body? Ever idolized something or someone? ever been more focused on your appearance than on God? lust of the flesh is dangerous. how much time do you spend on your phone? is money your life? anything you put above God is your god. The bible says in James 4:4 that those who love the world and the things of the world are an enemy of God. ever hold a grudge or a record of wrongs against someone?

Last question! did you ever think or say you weren’t a sinner? 1 John 1:8 “if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.” sin isn’t always doing something you shouldn’t, it can be not doing something that you know God wants you to do, like… repent.

So class how did we do? yea.. I failed the test too, BIG time.. But that’s precisely the point and exactly why Jesus came to save us. we NEED Jesus! He is sinless, therefore only He is worthy to pay our debt for sin. His love for you is so great, He didn’t fail the test. He passed the test with flying colors and He is the only one who ever could or would be able to. But when we repent and trust Jesus, then we pass the test with Jesus. He makes us clean, forgives us, casts our sins as far as the east is from the west, buries them in the deepest depths of the ocean and never brings them up again. He washes us in His life saving blood and clothes us in clean white linen and seals us as children of God.

Understand this, we cannot redeem ourselves, we cannot earn our own salvation and we cannot pay for our own sins. God required a perfect sinless sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins, to make us right with Him again. Thats what Jesus did on our behalf. Jesus is the absolute only way to heaven, there is no other way. there is no neutral territory, you are either for Jesus or you are against Him. if you don’t pick a side, then you are against Him. Mathew 12:30 “Whoever is not with me is against me and anyone who is not working with me is actually working against me.”

2 Corinthians 5:21 “For God made in Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.

Isaiah 53 prophesied approximately 750 years before the birth of Jesus Christ that Jesus would provide the ultimate atonement. The Messiah Jesus would suffer on our behalf and take on the sins of the world for the forgiveness of our sins. Through His suffering we are healed.

Approximately 1,000 years before Jesus was crucified, David prophesies and describes in Psalm 22 the way roman soldiers would nail Jesus’ hands and feet to the cross, long before crucifixion was even invented.

Jesus said in John 14:6 “I am the Way and the Truth and the Life, no one comes to the Father except through Me.” Jesus also said in Mark 1:15 “the time is fulfilled, and the Kingdom of God is at hand; Repent and believe in the Gospel.”

It is the free gift of God. Ephesians 2:8-9 “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and this is not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not a result of works, so that no one may boast.”

Do you want to be forgiven of your sins? do you want to know that when you die you WILL go to heaven? The Bible says in John 1:9 “if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.” The bible says in Romans 10:9 “if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. Romans 10:13 “for, Everyone who calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. That includes you… no matter how deep and dark your sins may be. Confess sins, repent of sins and believe in the Lord Jesus. It is the free gift of God, the forgiveness of sins and eternal life in the kingdom of heaven. But God gives us free will so we must make the choice to choose Jesus, God wont force us to choose, even though he wants us to choose him because he loves us. The bible says in John 5:13 “I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God (Jesus) so that you may KNOW you have eternal life. Do you want to begin your relationship with Jesus right now? say this prayer right now. “Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I am sorry for my sins. I believe you are the savior who died on the cross for the forgiveness of my sins, and that you rose from the dead. I invite you into my life and I turn from my sins now and I choose to follow you from this moment forward, fill me with your Holy Spirit Lord Jesus, thank you for hearing this prayer and answering this prayer, I believe and accept you Jesus Christ, The Son of God as my Lord and as my Savior, in Jesus name, Amen.

He could have let us drown, but he didn’t!

Hebrews 13 “Never will I leave you, nor forsake you.”

Romans 10:13 “For everyone who calls upon the name of the LORD will be saved.”

2 Corinthians 5:14-17 “Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life. He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. So, we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ, has become a new person. The old life is gone, a new life has begun!

God will send his Holy Spirit to come and live inside you and guide you and God will write your name in the Book of Life once you repent and believe in Jesus. Don’t resist him! If you hear His voice, let him in! Jesus said in Revelation: 3:20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in and we will share a meal together as friends.” Open the door for Jesus! :) he loves you and wants you to spend eternity with him and with every other believer that’s ever lived or will live. the choice is yours to make individually.

In case you haven’t noticed the world is getting crazier and crazier! We are living in the last days, according to the bible and Jesus is coming back soon for his church (Believer’s). 1 Thessalonians 4:17 “Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord.” This is the rapture, and it can happen at any time.

God is waiting for everyone who's going to repent, to repent. But he won’t wait forever. “Caught up” in Greek is harpazo which means to snatch or take away, the Latin translation is rapturo. the english word for rapturo is rapture. Don’t be left behind, choose Jesus today. 2 Corinthians 6:2 “For God says, “at just the right time, I heard you. On the day of salvation, I helped you.” Indeed, the “right time” is now. Today is the day of salvation.”

Acts 2:38 “each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”

Baptism is an outward and public expression of your faith in Jesus Christ, when we are submerged into the water, this shows us being buried with Christ and putting to death our old selves and cleansing us of our sins, being washed by the blood of Jesus, and when we come out of the water it represents us being raised with Christ from the dead, to walk in newness of life!

Jesus will chase after His lost sheep no matter how far they go astray, that’s us!

Luke 15:3-7 Jesus told them this story: “if a man has a hundred sheep and one of them gets lost, what will he do? Wont he leave the ninety-nine others in the wilderness and go to search for the one who is lost until he finds it? And when he has found it, he will joyfully carry it home on his shoulders. When he arrives, he will call together his friends and neighbors, saying, rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep. In the same way, there is more joy in heaven over one lost sinner who repents and returns to God that over ninety-nine others who are righteous and haven’t strayed away!”
